Marketing Job Boards [14 Niche Job Sites]
One of the most challenging fields to find a job, especially during economic uncertainty, is marketing. As you climb the career ladder, it only seems to get more high stakes with fewer and fewer jobs advertised. If you’ve conducted a marketing job search lately, I don’t have to tell you how challenging it can be.
One of the biggest challenges for people is simply finding the right marketing jobs to apply for. This week I spent countless hours researching niche marketing job boards so that I can present you with some credible ones where you can find the jobs that you want.
Whether you’re just getting started in marketing, you’re looking for director-level roles, or simply trying to find freelance gigs, this article will show you where to find your next job.

My Favorite Marketing Association Job Board - American Marketing Association
My Favorite Portfolio Company Job Board for Marketing - Ziff Davis
My Favorite Freelance Marketing Job Board - ProBlogger
Marketing Hire
This niche job board boasts of being the top site for marketing, advertising, PR, and communications professionals. After some time reviewing it, I see why. This website is a hidden gem. It gets far less organic search visibility than my website, so you may not have found this one on Google yet.
Besides Money Magazine, Hubspot, and Marketing Sherpa listing them as one of the top 3 job posting sites for marketing and advertising, here’s why I like them.
Highlights
They do not allow 3rd party agencies to access their resume database, meaning you’ll only have inquiries from companies directly hiring marketing professionals.
Companies pay close to $400 or more to advertise a job for 30 or 60 days. Unlike free sites like Indeed (and even LinkedIn), the companies that post on this job board may be more serious about finding their candidate. Companies don’t spend money for fun. Unless it’s a pizza party for employee engagement of course!
It’s built by a former marketer, Peter DeLegge, who has worked for companies like AON, ADT, and Motorola. He understands the marketing space.
The website has been around since 2004, so companies have caught on to the fact that they can find fewer, but highly qualified marketing and PR candidates on this job board. If companies are posting here it’s because they don’t want volumes of unqualified people that big job sites provide.
For a niche job board, it has a good number of jobs listed. For example, I ran a director-level search on this website and there were over 100 jobs listed - most within the last few weeks.
Ziff Davis
Most of us have heard of Mashable before. They used to have a job board until Ziff Davis acquired them in 2017. Shortly after the job board shut down, but Ziff Davis has an internal job board like few others. They have a huge portfolio of companies that include names like Moz, Mashable, and RetailMeNot.
Because of that huge portfolio (They’ve done nearly 90 acquisitions at the time I wrote this), they have a large internal job board that supports those companies.
Highlights
The job board is divided into categories that make it easy to use. For marketing professionals, I would look at the following categories: advertising, content, corporate marketing, creative services, editorial, and marketing.
When I reviewed this job board, there were 26 marketing jobs listed.
American Marketing Association
The AMA is one of the largest marketing associations with local chapters in over 70 cities and 320 college campuses. Like many professional associations, they also maintain a job board as part of the marketing career network they operate.
Highlights
I was impressed by the number of jobs listed. They had nearly 1500 and over 25 of them were listed in the last 2 days - that’s a good number for an association job board.
There were quite a few senior-level director-level jobs in communications and marketing listed, but you can also find mid-career and early-career jobs.
They have an internship list, but I wasn’t impressed. It had one internship for a brand ambassador when I looked. This is not where I’d look for internships.
Their career site makes it easy to set up job alerts, which I recommend. This way you can be notified when a new marketing job is posted.
Like many other niche job boards, they charge companies a set fee for a 30-day advertisement. This is good because companies posting on sites like this are not here to fill their ATS with hundreds of candidates, just a few quality ones.
A Word of Caution with Association Job Boards
Most associations utilize a company called YM Careers for their job board. This always is accompanied by career services such as resume writing and coaching. For someone new to this, it can be deceptive because it looks like the association is offering these services - which would be great! But that’s not the case. You’re not going to be working with some marketing professional from the association membership.
They outsource all of these services to rather large companies such as TopResume for resume writing. It’s not always clear that they do this. Many of these companies outsource their services overseas (that’s how they keep it so cheap). So do your homework before hiring anyone or taking their advice. Personally, I prefer local, independent resume writers over these big companies.
Society for Marketing Professional Services
This is another professional association that serves the marketing space. They’ve been around for 50 years and have close to 7,000 members and 58 chapters throughout the US and Canada. They also have a job board for companies to post their marketing job openings.
Highlights
I found myself less enthusiastic about this job board than the one run by the AMA because it had fewer jobs. The AMA site had around 1500. This site had 174 when I reviewed it.
Despite the lower number of jobs, one nice thing about this job board is that they have roughly the same number of job seekers as they do employers who post adverts - meaning you’ll find less competition.
Similarly to others, you can set up job alerts. I recommend you do. This way you won’t have to check the job board manually. Just keep an eye out for their emails.
This is an association job board run by YM Careers, so use caution when examining any career services.
Product Marketing Alliance
I don’t know a lot about this association as it’s relatively new. It was started in 2019 and they run their own independent job board.
Highlights
For an association job board, they had a good number of jobs with over a dozen posted in the last week.
This is somewhere I would check if you were looking for product marketing jobs. The majority of jobs posted here are senior-level product marketing roles with some other marketing jobs sprinkled in.
Companies can post jobs for free for 30 days, but they offer paid options also. It appears that a good number of companies choose those paid options, which is good news. They have skin in the game.
If using this job board, I would start by reviewing the sponsored, paid job ads first and then work my way to the free ones.
PMA also appears to have started a recruitment wing where they help companies connect with marketing talent and their membership.
The Washington Post
While it may seem like traditional newspapers are dead, they’re not. They exist online now. Some of you may remember reviewing classifieds in the newspaper for jobs. You can still do that online. The Washington Post is an example of that.
Highlights
Don’t expect to find as many jobs here as you would on niche job boards and association job boards, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth examining.
The Washington Post only had 9 marketing jobs posted in the last 30 days when I looked, but all 9 were in the Virginia and DC area. If you’re looking for a local marketing job in that area, it’s worth checking out. Employers love to hire locals.
If you have a local newspaper online, check out your local paper’s website to see if they have a job board. These are the new classifieds.
ProBlogger
This niche job board is an added service to an already established blogging website created back in 2004 by Darren Rowse. If you’re in the blogging and content writing space, this is a valuable site to find jobs. It started as a blog to help bloggers, but today it also has a job board.
Highlights
Many of the jobs listed here are freelance and contract, but they also have some regular full-time jobs listed.
When I reviewed it, there were 52 jobs posted last month, all in the content writing category.
They charge companies a fee to advertise openings, so you know each company has some skin in the game at least.
Digital Marketing Jobs
If you’re looking for jobs in digital marketing and you live in a major city, this could be a valuable niche job board to utilize. Every job I found was either in data and analytics, PPC, SEO, Social Media, and Content.
Highlights
Niche job board for digital marketing with jobs from around the world. Some remote, some not.
If you’re in a small town, this may not be a good website for you. Most of the jobs are concentrated in big hubs like London, New York, Austin, Toronto and the like.
In the last week, they had over 30 new jobs posted, and there are some cool companies listing jobs on this site.
WellFound
This was previously known as AngelList. It’s a niche job board for startups, not marketing, but they do have marketing jobs listed. If you’re looking for your next marketing gig at a tech startup, it could be a valuable site.
Highlights
Most of the jobs you find on this job board are with tech startups.
Because it’s not marketing-focused, you won’t find as many jobs listed as the other niche job boards I’ve recommended. But if you want to play in the tech startup sandbox, it’s still worth looking at.
I found it to be a bit crowded with over 10 million registered users. Keep in mind that your competition may be a bit more fierce when applying to these jobs.
EMarketing Silo
I don’t know much about this job board and there’s little information out there; however, it had a good variety of marketing jobs.
Highlights
You can find a full spectrum of marketing jobs on this niche website. I found jobs in academia, internships, early-career roles, and a few Director of Communications openings.
The roles are global, some remote, some not.
For a niche job board, they had over 25 jobs posted within the last day, so it is worth a look.
All of the jobs have a link that connects to LinkedIn where you can view any connections you have with people at the company that is hiring. I thought this was a cool feature that saved some time.
Campaign Jobs
This one is for all my UK friends reading this. This niche job board has jobs in marketing, advertising, creative, and media, all based in the UK.
Highlights
Most of the jobs on this site are based in London.
There were over 300 jobs on the website when I reviewed it. Some of the jobs were in project management and partnerships, but the majority were marketing-related.
You can also easily set up job alerts on this website to be notified of new openings. It was very easy to do.
Simply Marketing
This is another niche marketing job board in the UK. If you’re looking for jobs in that part of the world, it’s a great site.
Highlights
I found over 100 marketing jobs on this job board.
This site makes it easy to sort by industry. So if your background is in marketing with manufacturers or retailers or anything else, you can find jobs specifically in those industries easily. This makes it easy to target companies that will value your background.
Canadian Marketing Association
For anyone looking for marketing jobs in Canada, this is your website. It’s exclusive to marketing, communications, media, and creative roles.
Highlights
There were over 1,000 jobs on this job board when I reviewed it.
They make it easy to search by the type of marketing you specialize in, making it easier to target the right jobs.
It was easy to set up job alerts - don’t forget to do that.
It had a unique feature from all the others I looked at. You could search for specific employers and see their openings and some data about each one. I thought that was nice to have.
Other Job Boards With Marketing Jobs
The sites listed earlier were the niche marketing job boards that I recommend based on my experience; however, there are other places to find marketing jobs that you might not want to ignore.
Indeed
By far one of the world’s largest job boards. They too have marketing jobs; however, you’ll be competing against a lot of people when you apply for these jobs. There’s nothing wrong with that and you should probably see if this job board works for you, but be aware. With niche job boards, you may be one out of 100. With a job board like Indeed, you could easily be one out of 1,000.
ZipRecruiter
This has been one of the fastest-growing job boards from my perspective over the past 5 years. Similar to Indeed, you’ll find a lot of marketing jobs advertised here.
While LinkedIn doesn’t have as many jobs as Indeed, it may be worth spending more time on if you’re looking for marketing-specific jobs. One R-1 University Career Specialist spent a painstaking 2 weeks applying for jobs as a fake marketing specialist to both Indeed and LinkedIn and found that he received over 2x the number of interview requests from jobs on LinkedIn.
Now, it’s not the most scientific study, but I tend to see similar patterns. You can watch the video below.
Don’t forget that Google is also a powerful search engine that pulls in job listings from nearly everywhere. I’ve discovered many new job boards over the years by utilizing the Google Jobs feature.
Behance
If you’re looking for freelance marketing gigs, Behance is a good website to find them. It’s specific to creative jobs.
Crunchboard
I found some marketing jobs on this website, but it was very limited and it isn’t niche to marketing.
Media Bistro
This is supposed to be a niche creative job board, but these days you’ll have to wade through all kinds of jobs including Subway Sandwich Artists and JC Penny Sales Floor Assistant jobs. It’s not what it used to be.
Adzuna
This job board was recommended by others, but from what I could find companies aren’t choosing to advertise jobs here. Rather, they’re playing in some gray area scraping jobs from other websites.
Venture Beat
This was another job board that simply scraped jobs from other websites, namely Indeed. Every job I clicked on redirected me to Indeed to apply. This seems like an inefficient way to find jobs. You’d be better off going straight to Indeed to search and apply. Indeed has much better search capabilities anyhow.
Content Marketing Institute
I was excited when I saw the name of this job board, thinking it was an association with a great listing of content marketing jobs. Boy was I wrong. It had 5 jobs listed and each one redirected you to LinkedIn to apply. Again, you could do this yourself on LinkedIn fairly easily.
Many marketers and recruiters will post on their Twitter (sorry, I mean X) feeds when they are hiring. Follow people who work at your target companies and recruiters who specialize in placing marketers so you’re more likely to see potential job openings. You can also search hashtags such as #hiring.
