While we encourage you to look at our Terms during the vetting stage for additional information regarding Optim’s revenue share, our sharing plan starts at 30% and increases upward to 70%. Please note that revenue shares are on the Net Amount.
Q: What are the backgrounds of the resume writers on the Optim platform?
All resume writers have experience as either a recruiter or a hiring manager. Each and every resume writer is personally vetted by us and brings a unique perspective to the field. Some of our resume writers are active recruiters and former Directors of fields such as Finance, Procurement, IT, Sales, and HR to name a few.
Q: What is the cost to become a resume writer?
There is no fee to be a resume writer on the Optim platform.
Q: Is there a difference between a coach and a resume writer?
Yes. Coaches on the Optim platform provide guidance on a variety of topics. Resume writers are solely focused on creating collateral that helps job seekers get noticed during job transitions.

Resume Writers on the platform earn different amounts based on their level of engagement, self-promotion, and unique background. During the vetting process, we encourage you to ask an Optim representative about earning potential. Because you have complete control over your schedule and availability (we don’t make you work full-time hours - unless you want to), earnings vary greatly. Some of our writers are happy earning a couple thousand every month, and our top writers have earned over $20,000 per month.
Q: What does the vetting process look like?
Our vetting process is straightforward. Depending on your background and the level of expertise you bring to the resume writing field, you will most likely be asked to conduct a mock session and/or send a sample resume that meets our guidelines.
