Q: How do I get paid?
While we encourage you to look at our Terms during the vetting stage for additional information regarding Optim’s revenue share, a summary of the sharing plan is here. Please note that revenue shares are on the Net Amount. Mentors receive up to 80% of the revenue when a customer purchases a session using a mentor’s coupon or referral link. Sales that do not occur through a mentor’s promotion have a revenue share of 50%.
Q: What are the backgrounds of the mentors on the Optim platform?
All mentors have experience working in the accounting and finance world either directly as a manager or servicing the accounting and finance function. Each and every mentor is personally vetted by us and brings a unique perspective to the field. Some of our mentors are CFOs, public accountants, commercial bankers, and finance recruiters.
Q: What is the cost to become a coach?
There is no fee to be a mentor on the Optim platform, and you can offer free and paid sessions as you like.
Q: Is there a difference between a coach and a mentor?
No. We view the two interchangeably and do not distinguish between the two terms.
Q: How much can I earn?
Mentors on the platform earn different amounts based on their level of engagement, self-promotion, and unique background. During the vetting process, we encourage you to ask an Optim representative about earning potential and what the average revenue share was in the previous month.
Q: What does the vetting process look like?
Our vetting process is straightforward. Depending on your background and the types of coaching or mentorship you can offer, you will most likely be asked to conduct a mock session to show off your communication and teaching style.
